The Night Sky Has Plans for This Cruise

Sometimes a cruise theme comes together better than anyone could have planned.

The Celestial Cruise sails April 18-24, 2027 aboard Celebrity Silhouette, and as it turns out, the night sky seems to be joining the party. During six nights at sea, we'll have a full moon, two meteor showers, and even the chance to spot tiny pieces of Halley's Comet burning through Earth's atmosphere before sunrise.

As always, Bliss has put together an incredible lineup of theme nights, but this sailing has an extra layer of magic. Many of the themes happen to line up almost perfectly with what's happening overhead.

Golden Sunset

Every great vacation starts the same way: standing on deck as the shoreline fades into the distance while the Caribbean sky turns shades of gold, amber, and copper.

Golden Sunset is the perfect way to kick off the week. Warm, glowing, and full of anticipation, it's the kind of evening that reminds you the best part of the cruise is just beginning.

Outfit inspiration: Gold sequins, champagne satin, copper metallics, warm amber tones, or anything that captures the glow of a Caribbean sunset.

Starlit Soirée

Formal night gets a celestial makeover.

As the stars come out, so does the first hint of the Eta Aquariid meteor shower. While the shower won't reach its peak until after the cruise, you may catch a few early meteors before sunrise during the week. It's the perfect excuse to spend a little extra time on deck after dinner.

Outfit inspiration: Elegant gowns and suits with a celestial twist. Midnight blue, black, silver, crystal jewelry, stars, moons, and plenty of sparkle.

Moonlit Glow Night

Glow Night almost couldn't have been timed better.

The full Pink Moon rises on April 20, 2027, the exact night of Moonlit Glow Night. A full moon over open water is impressive all on its own. Add UV lights, glowing white outfits, and a ship full of people ready to celebrate, and it becomes one of those nights everyone talks about long after the cruise is over.

Outfit inspiration: Start with white, then pile on the fun. Neon accessories, UV-reactive body paint, glowing jewelry, LED accents, and anything that comes alive under black lights.

Dark Matter Fetish Night

The night after the full moon, the sky begins to darken again as the moon starts to wane.

Dark Matter Fetish Night leans into the mysterious side of the cosmos, where leather, lace, latex, and celestial details all feel right at home.

Outfit inspiration: Leather, lace, latex, harnesses, celestial body paint, dramatic black looks, metallic accents, or anything that feels dark, mysterious, and just a little dangerous.

Metallic Meteor Night

This one feels almost too perfect.

The Lyrid meteor shower reaches its peak the very same night as Metallic Meteor. The bright moon will hide some of the fainter meteors, but there's still a good chance of catching a bright streak across the sky if you take a break from the party to look up. Spend a little bit of time at the outdoor playroom to see the stars.

Outfit inspiration: Silver, chrome, holographic fabrics, mirror finishes, glitter, sequins, and anything bold enough to reflect every light on the dance floor.

Satin & Silk Sunrise

Every great adventure has to come to an end, and Bliss has one of the most beautiful phenomenon to close out the week.

If you're still awake before sunrise, step outside one last time. The Eta Aquariids are most active in the early morning hours, giving you one final chance to catch a meteor overhead before the ship returns to reality.

Then head back inside for one last celebration.

One More Reason to Look Up

Bliss theme nights are always memorable, but this sailing has something extra.
